Brogan got a special package in the mail from Grandma Wood! She sent him some pumpkin decorations so we had a good time putting them together! He loves his Grandma Wood and misses her while she's in Utah!

If the sprinklers are on, this is where you will find Brogan. He loves water, especially when its being shot out of a sprinkler head!
The green belt runs through our backyard and is watered by large magical sprinklers! I'm pretty sure he thinks they are alive. Luckily he lives in California so he can see his sprinkler friends year round.

As most of you know, Brogan has always had an extra special place in his heart for airplanes. So of course, he wanted to be an airplane for Halloween. Britlyn was a cute little goldfish. Justin found the idea for him to be the floor of the theatre, hence all the food, wrappers, and junk stuck to him and I was the usher of the theatre. I'm sure you aren't surprised that we won the trophy at the ward party for the best costumes! Ha, ha!

I adore this little girl! She is an easy baby, if there is such a thing... She loves to talk, smile, and sleep! Usually the first thing people notice about her are her big eyes and the big smile that follows! The smile is extra cute these days with those two bottom teeth poking out!

Brogan Goes to Preschool!

Brogan started preschool this year and is loving it! He's in the same class as his friend Sydney, who calls him "my Brogan." Amy and I push our kids, Brogan and Sydney in strollers as we run together every Tues. and Thurs. and after the run, it's off to school for these two! They have a good time together in Mrs. Collin's class!

I wish we would have taken more pictures of all the efforts of Prop 8! These are pictures of signs and the corner we waved signs at many times. There was much more involved in the effort and I could spend days writing, but all I will say is that it was a blessing to our family and we will forever be changed from the lessons learned! We are grateful to have been a part of it!

For Justin's Birthday, I surprised him with a Dolphin and Whale Safari! Joy, Justin's mom, came and watched Brogan and Britlyn while we had our adventure. It was a gorgeous day and we loved every minute of it!

Hilarious Birds!

If Brogan could, he'd go through boxes and boxes of crackers feeding the birds! He thinks it's the funniest thing to watch them swarm around the crackers he tosses to them. Little does he know that while he laughs at the birds, everyone else on the beach is laughing at how funny he is! Brogan now tells me he needs to go to the beach so he can laugh so hard!

Lovin' life in the O.C.!

It is gorgeous here!! If I can't live by my family, I better live somewhere pretty amazing and I think we found it!
It's green, the weather is beautiful, and we love the beach! It's about 15 - 20 min away and there are all kinds of beaches around. I may actually get a tan!
Brogan is still scared of the water, but he'll soon get over that! He still loves going to the beach!
I also love to run and this is a beautiful place for doing that! It's so nice that Justin actually goes running with me now! It's a family event, we pack the kids in the stroller and hit the hills. There are rolling hills around us so we get quite the workout, especially pushing 2 kids in a stroller!
You've got almost everything at your finger tips, so we are feeling very grateful!
Well, time to get ready. We are going to be hitting the beach here pretty soon for the 3rd time this week! Gotta work on that tan right?

Britlyn is now 4 months old and there's just something about that change from 3 to 4 months! They just come alive!
Britlyn's always been a big smiler. She also loves to talk. She says so much with her eyes. She'll watch me and talk to me in her little way until she's gotten what she wants, wether it's a smile or a full belly!
I have just fallen in love with this little girl!

For my birthday this year, I got a season pass to Disneyland! Not to mention some free corn tortillas from the Tortilla Factory in the California Adventure park and a button that said Happy Birthday, so all day long the employees would see my button and say, "Happy Birthday Tara!" At first I kept wondering how everyone knew my name and that it was my birthday, but then I realized they were following protocol with my sweet Happy Birthday button! It was one of my favorite birthdays!!

I've always loved Disneyland, but now that we have kids, we like it even more, even Justin! Britlyn has gone 3 times in the 6 weeks she's been born. What can we say? There's not a lot to do in Bakersfield and lots to do at Disneyland!

Britlyn gets blessed on Mother's Day!

Britlyn was blessed on May 11th, 2008, Mother's Day! We were in Utah for Amber and Taylor's wedding so we blessed her in the singles ward where my Dad is serving as the Bishop. We then had a lunch w/ everyone afterwards in my mom and dad's backyard. The food was great, weather beautiful and company even better. My favorite part was when Brogan poured water on Grandpa's homemade chocolate cake and then later poured dirt on the food table, luckily it was into an empty bowl, but he made a few of us scream as we watched it unfold not knowing where it was going. Britlyn was a little angel and spent most of the day sleeping!

By the look on Brogan's face, you can tell he was not quite sure what to think of his new sister! Now he walks around saying, "Oh, how cute." He's been hanging around his mom too much!

Our beautiful baby Britlyn! Born April 8th, 2008 6:58 AM!

After only 3 hours of intense labor, Briltyn Mae Williams was born on April 8th, 2008 at 6:58 am. I woke up at 4:00 am w/ my stomach hurting and a dire need to use the restroom. What's new right, for a pregnant lady? Well, the hurt turned more into cramps and those cramps got strong pretty quickly! At about 5:30 am, I woke Justin up and told him that I was pretty sure this baby was coming. Of coarse, I spent the last hour and a half cleaning just in case I was in labor since I knew it would be my last chance. Justin told me I was crazy and should have been relaxing. But that's just not me. When I woke him he was dazed at first, but once he realized what I was telling him, he put it into high gear and got crackinn'! We called the Wrens, drove Brogan over to their house, made sure we had all we needed and drove to the hospital. We walked in and up the delivery area and told them we thought we were in labor, that our baby was breech, and I gave them my paperwork. They didn't seem to really think I was in labor because I was so calm. They took their time getting me into our room thinking I had a lot of time left. Once in our room, the nurse asked me to rate my pain out from 1-10 and I said 9. She didn't believe me, I guess because I wasn't screaming or going crazy so she said, "You're probably not a 9, you'd know if you were. Choose a different one." So I thought, well, maybe she's right and said, "how about a 7?" She thought that sounded better, but I knew I was having intense cramps. She realized I was right about being a 9 as soon as they figured out my progress and how big my contractions were on the monitor. They then rushed me into surgery. The surgery was a wild experience and not too long after we had a 7 lbs 7 oz and 19 3/4 inches long beautiful girl. She was beautiful and I was so relieved to see how wonderful and healthy she looked! She looked just like her brother Brogan. She has been a joy to have in our family, not to mention a lot of work! But we just adore her!

Brogan's first peepee in the big boy potty!

Brogan went potty in his little boy toilet this week, standing up! Which Justin thinks is pretty amazing,(the standing up part.) It's thanks to Justin since he let him run around without a diaper on for a little while and before we knew it, he decied to take a bathroom break! It's only happened once, but he's always sitting on his little potty, pretending to go to the bathroom. He flushes it and walks away like he's done something to really be proud of. Hey, it's a step. Since we have a new baby coming shortly, in less than a month, we will wait to start some real training. Until then, he practices here and there and thinks it's pretty cool to wear big boy underwear for about 2 minutes and then it's back to diapers!

Condors Cutest Fan!

Keeta Mackey called us up this week and gave us a couple of tickets to the Condor's hockey game for Saturday night. So we went out to eat at Roadhouse Grill, where Justin and I get the usual BBQ chicken sandwich on wheat w/ side of Baked Sweet Potato. Brogan was pretty good at the restaurant aside from the few times he threw food at the neighboring table, hitting a lady at least one time. Talk about embarrassing! And when Brogan gets on a kick, like throwing food, he wants to do it over and over again. I finally chomped down my food and took him outside while Justin paid to let him run wild for a minute. Then it was off to the hockey game. As soon as we walked in, they handed Brogan a free Condor Jersey, which drowned him and we headed to our seats. We decided to get their early because Brogan only lasts for so long sitting in a chair watching hockey when he should be in bed. The pre-game events are better than the game anyway, so it's our best strategy. Of course, as soon as we got there, Brogan made friends with a boy 3 times his age and they played until the game started. Me, being over 8 months pregnant, sat in our seats while Justin kept an eye on him down by the ice. Brogan loved the actual game, for the first 5 minutes. He lasted to the end of the first period and we left. Which was fine since it was 4 to 0 and it wasn't the Condor's winning. But we did see a couple good fights, which we made sure to tell Brogan that fighting is "no, no" so that he doesn't try some body slamming techniques next week when he goes to the daycare at the gym! He's already working on not spitting! Don't ask me where he picked that up! Overall, it was a great night!

Future Professional Bowler!

Video of our little bowler! Last Saturday, March 8, 2008 , we decided to take Brogan bowling. It was the most relaxing activity our family has ever experienced. Well, maybe for Justin and me, Brogan got quite the workout! Justin and I just sat back and cheered on Brogan as he went back and forth with the bowling ball pushing it down the ramp and down the lane, knocking into the bumpers a couple of times and finally hitting a few pins. He'd then run to get the ball from the shoot, laugh hysterically and do it again! $3.50 has never been so worth it!
